FACTS ABOUT HYPNOSIS

Q:  What is hypnosis and is it safe?

A:   Yes. Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention. Every person goes in and out of hypnosis several times a day. Have you ever daydreamed? Have you ever driven to work and arrived without remembering the details of your drive? Have you ever watched a movie so intently that you experienced physical manifestations, such as a rapid heartbeat or tears? These are all altered states of mind. Through hypnosis, you use relaxation and your imagination to uncover negative scripts or programming that could be preventing you from reaching your full potential.

Q:  How does it feel to be hypnotized?

A:   Very relaxing and peaceful…..a 'dreamy' sense of calm. You enjoy an altered state where your critical mind (inner chatter) is silenced and you have access to your own inner intelligence to get answers and resolve issues in your life. Hypnosis is simply a natural state of focused attention that enables you to have access to memories, feelings and intuition that you would normally not be aware of.

Q:  Will I lose control of my actions or thinking?

A:   Absolutely not. A hypnotist cannot make you do anything against your will. You will only accept those new suggestions that you would normally find acceptable in your waking state or you will quickly 'awaken'. You will not reveal anything that you want to keep secret.

Most people think of the stage hypnotist and how he/she seems to make volunteers behave in odd or funny ways. When a member of the audience volunteers, they are giving themselves permission to act goofy, perform, and follow the hypnotist's suggestions. Therefore, the volunteer is truly still in control.

Hypnosis is not about being overpowered, but rather becoming self-empowered.

Q: Can hypnosis help me deal with a medical or dental procedure?

A:   Yes. Learning self-hypnosis helps you achieve the appropriate physical response and psychological frame of mind, which will lead you to minimal pain or anxiety and a faster recovery.

Q:  Can anyone be hypnotized?

A:  Because hypnosis is done with you and not to you, most people are able to achieve amazing results. To be successfully hypnotized, you must cooperate and have an understanding of the process and a sense of confidence with the hypnotherapist. The best clients for hypnosis are intelligent and have an active imagination.

"I'm very grateful for the work you do and how caring you are and your sincerity in helping me. I can now relax at the cellular level at anytime I wish and this has helped me get rid of my twitch and stress. Coming to see you is and has been a truly life changing experience for me. Thanks again and God Bless You and Yours."

A big difference from when I started!  Katie is very professional and also very intuitive with her sessions. My doctor has recommended that I continue hypnosis sessions with Katie. "
